The National Academy Championships is a three-day, three-round competition to crown America's best Academy Riders.
Preliminary Classes for:
-Walk/Trot (WT) Equitation
-Walk/Trot (WT) Pleasure
-Walk, Trot, Canter (WTC) Equitation
-Walk, Trot, Canter (WTC) Pleasure
Ages 5 years to adults.
The top 10 ribbon winners
of each class will then move on to the second round of
competition. Any with less than 4 entries will be combined
with the next age group. In the event of a split class the top 8
advance.
Championship Classes for:
5-6 year-olds
7-8 year-olds
9-10 year-olds
11-12 year-olds
13-14 year-olds
15-17 year-olds
Adults
The top 8 ribbon winners from each age group will
move on to the third round of competition, except Walk/Trot
5-6 & 7-8 year olds and all Adult Saddle Classes in which case
the top 10 advance in each class.
Little Saddlers National Finals:
5-6 year-olds WT Equitation
5-6 year-olds WT Pleasure
7-8 WT Equitation

The Jr. National Finals:
9-12 WT Equitation

Note to Instructors
We must remember the purpose of these classes is to create an enjoyable and affordable division for the beginning rider. We also need to remember our ethics and follow the rules of these classes.
Every rider must qualify in a preliminary class in order to
compete for a Championship class. The top 10 ribbon winners from each age group will move on to the Championship rounds. If a class has to be split, only the top 8 from each split will qualify for the Championships.
Junior and Senior Finals will consist of the top 8 ribbon
winners from each age group in their respective category. Ten
ribbons will be awarded in the Grand Championship finals.

The National Academy Championship Horse Show welcomes academy riders of all ages. We are looking for the best riders in the nation to compete while supporting St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
